CONSTITUTION AND AGM

The Quilters’ Guild of South Australia Inc. was incorporated in 1984.

The current Constitution of Quilters’ Guild of SA Inc. is dated 25 May 2023. Amendments were approved by the South Australian Office of Consumer and Business Services in April 2007.  Further amendments were approved by the membership at the Annual General Meeting on 6 March 2021.  Further amendments were voted by the members at the Special General Meeting on 2 September 2021 and approved by the Australian Office of Consumer Affairs on 2 November 2021.

An amendment to remove the five-year limitation for members to contribute as part of the Executive Committee was put to the 2023 Annual General Meeting on 4 May 2023 and was approved unanimously.  The amendment was approved by the Australian Office of Consumer Affairs on 25 May 2023.

The Nola Pearce Service Award was introduced in 2024 to mark outstanding service by SA Quilters members’ who represent the aims and values of the organisation.  Nola was on hand to present the inaugural awards to the worthy recipients.

Newly Elected President, Chris O’Brien, thanked outgoing President, Heather Ford, for her service to SA Quilters.  Heather held the position of President for three years from 2021.  Chris congratulated her and presented a gift on behalf of SA Quilters members.
